As a companion to my apotropaic smoke and mineral drawings from the series Spells for Protection, I created an apotropaic fragrance, playfully titled Smells for Protection.
Mirroring my drawing process, this functional fragrance is composed of plant oils and absolutes associated with cleansing and protection magic. It is a smoky herbaceous scent with notes of jammy cypress, birch embers, bergamot, juniper, mugwort, rose, oakmoss, and salt.
